Memorial Day Weekend!

Today was just one of "those days." The ones where everything seems innocent until all pandemonium breaks loose at the play area, on a play date with friends, etc. Then suddenly our fun day turns into a totally un-fun day and I'm just counting down the minutes until daddy rescues us (and by us, I mean my sanity).

Now that I've said that, I'm hiding out in my bedroom with some Jack Johnson and Sam Adams summer ale and attempting to de-stress after one of "those days" while daddy is doing bed time duty tonight.

On a lighter note, we had a great Memorial Day weekend!! The Moores came to visit (and to get their new Prius! so pretty!) and we all had a ton of fun as usual. Lots of play time, some grilling out, games, and fun! So wish we all lived closer together!

PS Does anyone know why all of the sudden all of my recent posts have blurry photos?! Is this a setting somewhere? It's driving me crazy!

Mother's Day 2013

I'm a little behind on posting...wrote this one and forgot about it! Whoops! Back to blogging...

What a fun Mother's Day weekend!! I am beyond blessed to be the mama of two sweet little boys and lucky to have an awesome mom, too!

We had a great time at the Moores' housewarming party! The kids played on the inflatable water slide until they passed out from sheer exhaustion (hard to do with my kids but somehow this slide got the best of them!! Haha!) I wish I knew how to post videos on here from my phone because it is just hysterical! They flew down and hit the end and bounced off when the water hose was on the slide!

And as usual, I didn't take an "official" Mother's Day photo with my boys or with my mom, but that's pretty traditional. Not to mention, if I did it probably would have been taken with my iPhone - my camera if choice these days. Love my big dslr, but almost impossible to lug around while chasing two busy boys!!

Our house is a battlefield

Some days are just a battle. Apparently no one warned me today and I left my sword and armor at home (ha ha ha). Feeling utterly defeated by a 3 year old today. Or should I say (almost) 3.5 year old...yikes.

If only I had an extra set of eyes and a couple more arms...scratch that. I need a clone to keep up with the antics of these two munchkins. I turn my head to deal with one crisis while another is being created...sigh.
