Yes, you got it...two posts in one day. This will probably never happen again.
Kind of ironic that when I first posted in this blog it was about finding out about Logan, and now I'm pregnant again with S#2 (who we just found out is another BOY, woohoo!!). How the two pregnancies compare so far:
- still can't eat deviled eggs. Darn. Funny how one of your favorite foods becomes instantly unappetizing the minute you get pregnant.
- still had the usual blah-ish gaggy gross nauseous feeling throughout the first tri of this pregnancy too. Still the usual stomach of steel as far as actual throwing up though.
- with the L, I craved a lot of sweet stuff - fruit, smoothies, cakes. This time I really want Mexican. All the time!! Chipotle and Publix deli medium salsa & chips are my new best friends. If only I could have a margarita to go with it...haha.
- showing a lot earlier this time, but they say that's the norm for anything after the first kiddo.
- oh, and best of all: no crazy cramping pains!! That was literal torture with Logan for the first trimester. I was doubled over in pain almost every day, with the doctor telling me that although that wasn't very common, could happen when the muscles are stretching. I guess Logan was busy wreaking havoc even in the womb! :)
- I have had to cheat and have a little caffeine here and there during this pregnancy. If not, I would never survive a day with an active toddler.
The week before we found out we were pregnant with S#2, we went with some friends to Islands of Adventure. While in line for the Jurassic Park ride, our friend's dad joked around about the possibility of me being pregnant and not being able to go on the roller coasters. We all laughed, since really we had been "not trying" for the past four months and still nothing so I wasn't worried about it. We probably went on about three roller coasters that day, and each time I got off I felt a little "off." I had a pounding headache and felt a little sick - which is REALLY odd for me, given my stomach of steel. I opted not to ride the last coaster, the Hulk, since I was feeling kinda crappy.
The next week I ordered some cheap pregnancy tests in bulk from Amazon since after 4 months of unsuccessfully "not trying" Daniel was getting tired of spending the $10+ bucks on each drug store pregnancy test. They came in on a Thursday afternoon. I checked them out in their package and decided to try one out, just to see how they work (ha ha) even though I thought it was too early to test. When I saw the two little blue lines, I don't think I've ever been so surprised! Okay, well, maybe about as surprised as when I took one for Logan, but that's a whole 'nother story :) I guess I know now why they recommend that pregnant women don't ride roller coasters!
Hi :) Glad we're following each other! Glad your pregnancy is going good..I don't think I've ever been crazy for deviled eggs..pregnant or not! LOL! Post some belly pics :)

ReplyDeleteOh man, I love deviled eggs! YUMMY! I also craved Mexican while I was pregnant with Aubrey, guac to be exact. Maybe that's why she loves it so!! BT, love your new blog!! So pretty! I should look for a template where I can put a pic up... so much better than mine lol! :)
