After a trying evening with a whiny toddler at dinner time, I decided to crack open one of the bottles of red wine I bought during Publix's glorious buy one get one free wine sale. Of course the cork WOULD break in half...good thing I'm too tired to care if there are pieces of cork floating around in my wine glass. It still tastes yummy.
We're all moved in to the new house, and I must say that I love it! There is so much light in the mornings thanks to the wraparound windows in the breakfast area/playroom, and I love having a gigantic porch. And the master bedroom on the bottom floor has been so nice! It's about 5 minutes away from a super sweet playground, the mall, library, and Publix...can't ask for much better than that.
This past weekend we ventured out to Ikea in search of a tv stand. Ok, truth - I love Ikea because it's basically like walking around a gigantic mall filled with things I want! But the very thing that I love about Ikea - the variety - makes me hate it! It's so overwhelming. I literally can't decide what to buy because I want everything. Le sigh.
These past few days have been the most frustrating and the most rewarding days with Logan. Some times he drives me up a wall (tantrum city over here!) and other times he makes me so happy...he has been learning so many new words and surprising me every day with new things. It's so much fun hearing him talk! But the tantrums certainly are intense...oh terrible twos.

Moving time
It's official - we no longer reside at 5963 Orchard Pond Drive. In fact, it's been unofficially so long since we've lived there that it took me a moment to remember our street number. That is so sad...but then again, I literally have 3 addresses floating around in my spacey head. Whew.
The packers and movers did their thing all day yesterday, and spent today driving down to Wellington. Tomorrow bright and early they start unloading the truck and we will officially live in Wellington. I realllllly hate unpacking. I've probably spent a good day just thinking about how much I'm dreading this process! It's inevitable that stuff breaks, is chipped or damaged in the moving process, or just plain lost. We've already done this during our move from Titusville to Jacksonville, so I'm all too familiar with this crappy process. I suppose it's just wishful thinking to hope that the movers are gentle with your stuff. However, Daniel did send me a picture of a little someone that was found during the pack up - the elusive duck puzzle piece! We almost had to throw out Logan's very favorite Melissa & Doug farm animals wooden puzzle due to the lost duck, simply because we never thought we'd hear the end of "duck? Duck? Duckkkkkk!!!" every single time he played with it.
Project this weekend: unpack and make the house semi-livable for the rest of the week! And maybe squish in an Ikea trip somewhere. I was so excited to find out that there is one pretty close by in South FL!! Maybe the rest of our house will finally get some updated furnishings?! like our master bedroom!?! We could really use something larger than a full size bed, hahaha...

Spring has sprung!
Blake is normally such an awesome sleeper, I'm so thankful! Last night he slept from 8:30-midnight, woke up for a bottle, then right back down until 4 something. Of course at 4 he was a little wired but after 8 solid hours I couldn't complain! And even at 4 am it's hard not to laugh at him...he is such a happy little guy, just smiling and cooing away at the fan (why does that always seem to entertain babies?!).
I have got the beach bug bad! Can't wait to go soon :)

So done!
I'm just so ready to be 100% well again! By the end of this week I will have been on one sort of meds or another for the past 17 days. Pretty ridiculous considering I tend to avoid taking medications at all most of the time. The diphenhydramine and prednisone I'm on for the allergy has been making Blake really restless and wired so I'm having to dump my current milk supply, adding insult to injury. The meds make me sleepy and super loopy, but do the opposite to infants! Figures. And each day it seems like I have some new crazy reaction...the day I stopped taking them because I thought the reaction was done and out of my system, I wake up itchy and swollen again. This morning I waited an extra hour and half before taking my first dose and my cheeks turned bright red, making me into some crazy clown looking person. Ok, done complaining now.
Daniel and I went on a date (along with restless Blake, haha) to Bucca di Beppo tonight. We had never been there, but it was pretty good! Not quite up to Maggiano's standards in my book, but not half bad. Oh, and also tried out Taverna Opa...now that place is GOOD! I would definitely eat there again! Even Logan loved the lamb in my gyro :)

Operation Skinny
Decided to try and lose these last couple of pounds of baby weight hanging around before bikini season officially arrives...this is going to be tough!! My sweet tooth usually wins all food battles, especially when we still have a box of thin mints lying around.
Planning to go back to my old college routine. This means lots of cereal, sandwiches, salads, and the occasional pasta dish! Oh, and Publix sushi & wine nights every once in awhile :)
you know I'm serious when I pass up the ice cream aisle and grab the frozen yogurt instead...oh yeah, I mean business. Goodbye tubby tummy! (I hope, lol)

Happy March!
I don't want to jinx myself, but on Friday Logan started taking naps again! :) since then, we've had 2 hour naps each day. Hurray!! That really made for an awesome Friday; we were already having such a fun day playing with his Legos and cars and doing crafts that having a nap time really topped off an already great morning. Plus, Blake happened to be sleeping at the same time too!!
We went house hunting yesterday and think we found "the" house to rent. It is a lot like our old house, ironically! Guess we just like that style. Another blue two story, built one year before our old house, 3 bedrooms + an office, screened porch, and fenced backyard. Nowhere near as nice as our old backyard, but perfect for the kids and Remy. The neighborhood is older, but it's gated and also has a small community swimming pool. We sent in the papers tonight so hopefully tomorrow we find out if we got approved. I'm so excited to be in a house again! It's located in the heart of Wellington, just a few miles from the Scott's Place playground, city aquatics center, and mall.
Pumping update: still pumping four times a day, and in my effort to slowly drop a session I managed to get mastitis again. I really have the worst luck with that. The doctor prescribed Dicloxacillan to clear it up. So anyways, yesterday was supposed to be my last day of taking this pesky antibiotic (remembering to take a pill four times a day really sucks!). I took my last dose at 11pm before I headed to bed. I noticed my ear was a little itchy before I went to bed but didn't really think much of it. At 6am this morning I woke up itching all over. Literally everywhere on my body felt like it was burning up with itchiness, it was nuts. I took a look at my arms and legs but didn't see any hives, just redness all over. I was a little worried but figured that if I was having an allergic reaction to something, at least it was just itching so far.
As the morning progressed, things got itchier. I noticed that my ear was very red, puffy and swollen (that explains the itching last night!) and my face was starting to itch and swell around my eye and both sides of my chin. I started to panic a little bit and had Daniel take me to the ER (doesn't it seem like anything serious always happens on a weekend or holiday? Ugh). They gave me a steroid shot and some Benadryl while I was there, and sent me home with a bunch of prescriptions for other stuff. Thankfully the steroid shot immediately brought the swelling down. Whew! What a way to start out a morning.
So now I get to add all of the drugs in the penicillin family to my allergy list. Between that and my allergy to ibuprofen, I've managed to knock out a whole slew of meds. I've always had a low tolerance for drugs; taking Vicodin after my wisdom teeth surgery gave me hallucinations and the inability to remember anything anyone said to me. Even Tylenol terrifies me a little bit after my bout with ibuprofen. Looking like Hitch after he ate those spicy foods on his date is not exactly on my fun list! ;)
Oh, and Blake has been smiling for a little bit now, but he has just turned into quite the smiley guy! He is so stinkin cute, such a happy baby. Can't wait to see what his personality is like! Pretty laid back so far, I'm interested to see if that sticks...
