05 January 2012

Christmas is over! That always makes me a little sad. January is probably least favorite month, mostly because it means that I have to take down my tree and decorations...and they make the house feel so homey! Hah well I shouldn't complain too much, since it's already the first week in January and I haven't made any immediate moves to take down my tree or decor. Not gonna lie, I've gotten a little lazy whenever I start thinking about taking on that task :)

Speaking of Christmas, we had a great one despite not being able to go back to Titusville for the holidays. My parents came up for the 23rd and part of the Christmas Eve so we were able to have a "Christmas morning" with them on the 24th and then do a Christmas Eve lunch. I really missed doing Christmas Eve celebrations with all of my cousins, but Christmas Eve kept Daniel and I busy enough putting the finishing touches on Logan's present (the train table). It is always so nice to spend Christmas morning in your own house; this year was no exception! We made cinnamon rolls and coffee and just relaxed while watching Logan play with his trains. Around lunch time the Silva family came up to visit and eat Christmas dinner. It was a little crazy fixing dinner for 10 people, but we survived! Honey ham, baked Brie, salad, sweet potatoes, and bread...mmm!! And key lime pie and Monica's flan for dessert :) definitely was exhausted with swollen ankles by the end of that day!

I'm actually excited about January this year because Blake hasn't arrived yet! Still patiently waiting...or really I should say just waiting, working on the patiently part...haha. 40 week OB appointment today - can't wait to see what they say. I HAVE to have progressed since last week or I might cry. I've certainly had enough contractions to feel like they must be doing something!!

I've definitely been a little stressed but that's another post for another day...
