First things first...
Last week on my due date (January 4th!) we got some news. Unfortunately it wasn't the news of labor but instead news that we will be moving. Not quite as fun as labor news! We've had an idea of an upcoming promotion for awhile now but didn't know if we would get it or what it would be for sure. This one came out of left field though and wasn't at all what we were expecting!
The details are that we will be going to South Florida! I'm excited about the promotion itself since Daniel won't be working at an office anymore and will have a little more control over his own schedule since he'll be working from home (this means no more traveling!! YAY!!), but South FL is probably one of my least favorite places ever. I guess I really shouldn't say that since I haven't actually BEEN to South FL in ages, but considering I really want to move somewhere up north, this is kind of a step in the wrong direction. Oh well. At least we will be close to the beach, the Bahamas, and Daniel's favorite - Cuban coffee!
The crazy part is that we get to pick where we want to live in South FL, spanning from Stuart down to Miami. We immediately nixed Miami (yuck, traffic) and Stuart may be a little too far north since most of the dealers are around the Miami/Kendall area. But we'll see! First step is to actually move down there to a furnished apartment set up by Toyota for 3 months to scope out some areas and pick out a house. Whew!! Can't believe it's all happening so fast.
Daniel leaves on Tuesday to stay in a hotel and officially start work down there, leaving me and the kiddos up here until the relocation package comes through. Boo!! I'm really dreading Tuesday but trying to look on the bright side - unlike his usual travel schedule, this will end and eventually I will only have be a single mama one or two nights out of the year!
